Brian Duncan, Owner and Founder
Arvak Energy Solutions is the vision of Brian
Duncan. His interest in renewable energy began while studying urban planning
at the University of  Pennsylvania.
After working as an urban planner for the City of Reading and The Reinvestment
Fund in Philadelphia, Brian decided to include his passion for the environment
in his career and founded Arvak Energy Solutions in 2008. His training in
renewable technology includes studies at the NC
Solar Center at North Carolina State University, Solar
Energy International, the Energy
Center at Appalachian State University as well as home energy rating
(HERS) training at the Southface
Energy Institute in Atlanta and BPI training with PA Home Energy. Brian
also holds a BA in Economics from Duke University and a Masters of City Planning
Degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Brian is a NABCEP certified solar PV installer.

NABCEP certification is the nationally recognized standard for solar installers. Along with passing of a rigorous 4 hour exam, NABCEP certification requires experience and continued training in order to remain certified. Customers using a NABCEP certified installer can be confident they are receiving a well designed system installed by a professional who has the requisite knowledge to correctly install the system to function properly and safely.
